NaobaPrivacy Policy
- Everything the browser holds stays on your Mac. There is no account and no server of ours it talks to.
- The one thing Naoba sends is your licence key, to check that it is still valid.
- This website, separately from the application, uses Microsoft Clarity — and only if you accept the cookie banner.
What the application keeps, and where
Naoba is a browser. The pages you visit in it, the cookies those pages set, the accounts you sign
into, the screenshots it writes and the log of what each agent did are all files on your own Mac,
under ~/Library/Application Support/Naoba. Nothing of that reaches us. We could not
read it if we wanted to: there is no account to sign into and no service it is uploaded to.
Each project you allow gets a storage area of its own. An agent working in one project cannot read the cookies or logins of another — that separation is the reason the application exists.
What leaves your Mac
Two things, and no more.
The pages an agent asks for. When an agent navigates to a site, your Mac fetches that site, exactly as any browser would. Those requests go to the sites themselves, not through us.
The licence check. Naoba asks the licensing service whether your key is still valid — once when you unlock it, and then every few hours while it runs. That request carries the key, an identifier generated for this installation, and the name of your computer as the label for the installation. It carries nothing about what you browsed. The service is run by Freemius, Inc., which is also the merchant of record for the sale; their privacy policy covers what they do with it.
What we receive
Your purchase goes through Freemius, who take the payment, hold the billing details and send the receipt. We see the order and your email address as the seller, and we use them for support and for what tax law requires of us. We never see your card details.
Cookies and tracking
The application sets no analytics of any kind. It reports no usage, sends no crash reports, and has no identifier for you beyond the licence installation described above.
This website is a different matter and is treated separately. It uses Microsoft Clarity to see which pages people read and where they get stuck. Clarity sets cookies and records page interactions in an anonymised form. It loads only after you press Accept on the banner; press Decline and nothing is set and nothing is sent. Your choice is remembered in your browser, and you can change it by clearing this site's data.
Children
Naoba is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about your purchase, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to us through the issue tracker linked from the support page. Since the application itself sends us nothing but the licence check, there is rarely anything to delete beyond the order record, which tax law requires us to keep for a period.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new version is published here.
